Vanity Countertop Prices, Yikes!

I was quite taken aback by the options for bath vanity tops. I am selling so I am going manufactured slab counters with under mount sink and the best price I have found is $46 3cm with $150 for sink and sink install...so my 51/2 foot vanity (from 1976) is getting a $765 countertop. I don't even particularly like it but it imitates Carrera so is neutral, subtle and complements the tile. I looked into cultured marble thinking I could fake it with an undermount sink, but no one does cultured marble here. (One retired and other burned down.) My rehabs are tiled countertops matching the floors and tub surrounds (buy and holds) I knew it was a cheaper alternative but didn't know how much cheaper!
