Pulling a Permit to Fix a Sewer Drain Line Separation?
I have a sewer drain line that separated when we lifted the foundation on our SFR causing the sewer lines to fail the hydrostatic pressure test and I'm getting bids to fix it. Some plumbing companies say they will pull a permit, some don't. Is a permit really necessary to fix a simple drain line separation? I want to do the right thing but it seems like such a small job, it's not like we are installing all new plumbing or anything that complex.
This probably happens a lot in the BP community. Do you guys really pull a permit to fix something like this?
