New windows or fix old?

Hello my husband I just bought our first property to fix in Jacksonville Florida. The house is from the early 1950s and we are trying to decide if we should get the windows fixed or replace them, any ideas? $700-1k to fix vs 4,000-5k for new!? Thank You! Jessica

question, will the replacement windows make you a bigger profit flip? i'm in the NE so replacing old windows is a must, i replace windows for "buy and hold"  to secure tenants and avoid high gas bills. For flips? it'll all depend on the numbers, area, comp analysis etc.
