Newbie with Money lending

So since I'm starting out, I figured I should find private money or hard money lenders and contact them to see how they operate. Does anyone know of any who are newbie friendly? Should I leave out the fact that I'm just starting out? I do plan on making a packet for times I need money.

Samantha Solomon - what I would suggest is that you go to local investment group meetings. That way you can meet them face-to-face, I would also suggest you let them know you are a newbie.
