House flipping in Canada

Hi guys! I live in Hamilton Ontario and I was wondering how flipping is like in the Southern/Southwestern Ontario region was like. I'd really like to know if there's a viable market especially with the rising house prices and demand in the GTA and Hamilton. I've barely seen any Canadian investors here so it'd be great to hear from you guys! I'm thinking of getting into both house flipping and rentals part time when I leave university/when I have enough time off during university (such as during the summer possibly). I initially wanted to jump into rentals right off the bat, but I don't have the capital to deal with any capital expenditures. I feel as if it's almost impossible to get any outside funding in such a short time. That's why I started looking at flipping since it can give me some "quick cash" to get me going. Besides if I do happen to underestimate the cost of a renovation in a fix and flip the time frame to acquire additional funding isn't as small. Please correct my logic if I'm wrong!
