What would you do with these porch windows?

The shrub is being removed and we'll likely replace the front door.  The aluminum windows are an eyesore.

Is there a way to make these look better, or do I need to remove and replace?  The space behind them is a porch.  You can see the interior windows behind it.

Has anyone used those vinyl-pane windows like ezporch or ez-screen?  The porch is cold in winter regardless of windows.

The current windows are functional.  They are just ugly.

Hi Dan,

It's not a bad looking house, but that enclosed porch totally destroys the front elevation. It gives it a very tacky, "wrong-side-of-the-tracks" look.

A porch enclosed in this way is not only unattractive, but serves virtually zero function. It's a fairly useless, small, narrow strip of space, no longer outdoors, but hot in summer and cold in winter. Plus it blocks both the light and view from the living room.

Only one solution to get rid of the ugly... tear it completely off, replace the railing, and have a nice, atttactive, welcoming entry and porch again. Get an architecturally correct front door (if it's not already there), and create a nice walkway (brick?) from the sidewalk/street. Absolutely leave the bush/tree, it's the only landscaping you have. I can't tell if it's two separate plants, but would look good trimmed up like a tree.

Don't throw good money after bad trying to replace the windows, it'll still be just as ugly. You'll be blown away when you see what a nice looking house you actually have and the resulting curb appeal, when you put it back as it was designed. Not difficult or expensive to do, either.
