How much for interior designer?
Hi guys I'm in the middle of a house flip that ended up costing a lot of money because the partner that I'm working with is responsible for picking all the materials and contractors out, as I am remote, but has been flip-flopping on all of the decisions going between multiple contractors and multiple choices of flooring xcetera . I'm already three months into the job and it's not even a quarter done and I'm over budget . I'm wondering how much would be reasonable to pay someone on the next job for picking out flooring cabinets and all of the Interior items including paint colors excetera . Has anyone payday designer to do this for them and how has it worked out ? I also have to decide how much to pay the partner for the work managing the job...

Leland Smith I am thinking paying between 300-1000 to build a BOM (Bill of Materials), which will be used for a project. One of their job is to look at comps, copy and improve, go to big box store website or my preferred manufacturer website and source the SKU or produce an excel sheet that has the brand, model, price, and qty of each and every material to be used on a project. It might take them 1-4 days, and depends on how big the project is. Of course, I won't expect for them to catch everything, but 90% will be enough for me to reach that finish line. For project management, depends on what scope or how many visits they need, I say 2 hrs every 2 days is enough for project management, anywhere around 200-400/visit should be enough, I have some projects where I charge 3-5k/mo for 6 visits/week at 2hrs/visit, but that's commercial project.
