Door knocking Tenants to get Owner info
Hello all, this is my first post and I have a bit of a random question I ran into today.
Is it legal to door knock a property that you know is tenant occupied, in order to get the owner's phone number (and possibly other information) from the tenant? I'm having trouble finding information on this online.
I am specifically asking for southern California, where I live, about a property that was in pre-foreclosure and just received an auction date. My partner wants me to door knock them to get the owner's information and help the tenant and the owner's situation.
Any advice on this subject from any locale would be awesome and much appreciated.
Thank you very much!
