Drywall/mold remediation, collapsed ceiling drywall
Hi All,
I purchased a distressed property where I was able to get a good discount on due to condition.
One of the issues in the house is the house has two major roof leaks, that caused the ceilings to collapse in a bedroom and a bathroom.
I've had a roofing contractor come in, and he would fix the source of the leaks on the roof. But he doesn't specialize anything in the interior.
I need some advice on remediating the interior, specifically removing all affected drywall and replacing the drywall, on the walls and ceiling.
Any ballpark estimates to get this remediated?
Has anyone had an experience in this type of remediation?

Agreed, not a big deal once you have the roof fixed. But be certain the roof is fixed well, you don't want to have to replace the drywall twice!
Pull down the drywall until you get to drywall with zero moisture damage. Check for mold on the joists and rafters and clean any with a bleach solution or other cleanser. Reinsulate and drywall. Done!
