Thoughts about older home, sloping floor in a bedroom
I'm bidding out the rehab on a 2BR 1BA house that was built around 1905. There has been a small addition in the past, foundation work is apparent. So the concern is that in one bedroom there is a slant to the floor where the house has settled. Further settling is unlikely due to the foundation work that's already been done. The price is right and the rehab and purchase price will be well below 70% of ARV. Rehab will be quality work. It's in a neighborhood where its the only place that hasn't been remodeled.
So the question: Would a sloped floor in one bedroom keep any of you from this deal. My plan is to rehab and rent out. Renters may not mind, but a future buyer might... Thoughts?
