Best credit card for fixer-upper

Hello and thank you for taking time to read this!

We are just getting into fixer-upper rentals and are wondering what is the smartest way to go about buying materials? I listened to a BP podcast last week with a guy who had a couple of Home Depot cards. He mentioned that they were the best customer service and offered great deals on mass products.

Wondering if anyone has a favorite credit-card that they use that offers rebates or good deals on products?

Thanks in advance!

    Replied

Home Depot does a cash back rebate, keep track of your purchases, and also have a gas rewards program and you can get additional savings by going through Pro Desk if you are buying over $5,000.

You may have to join a local REI club to get the rebate.

Some rehabbers that I know will then pay their HD bill with a credit card that offers travel points. Doing all of the planning of credit cards to get points kinda makes my teeth itch. Each their own.
