Need advice - bonus room or garage?

We have a class B rental (I think) - 40 year old house located in a great neighborhood and zoned for some of the best schools in the area. The house was originally built with a garage but was converted to a bonus room by a previous owner. We are debating on turning it back into a garage as about 50% of the potential tenants, contractors, and friends we've spoke to say that they would rather have a garage. All the houses in the neighborhood have a garage. It will probably cost about $2500 to convert it back. What would you do if this was your rental property? It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, about 2,000 sq ft with bonus room (without garage). The living space will be reduced to about 1550 sq ft if the room is converted back into a garage. Thanks!
