Hello bigger pockets community! My name is Jeremy Lepman, 25, recently licensed residential appraiser. Have an opportunity to buy a parcel of land (.13 acres) in Albany, OR with a badly beaten down residence on it for $32,500. Thinking of wiping the residence and building new. Heard that our local fire department will burn and remove the residence for free as a training opportunity (burn and learn.) Have any of you ever done this before? Also looking over a floor plan for a new 1300 sf dwelling with 3 bed 2 baths. Would also have to get a construction loan which would be a experience new to me. I know I am going into this green so looking for any advice. Been reading the recommended books and listening to the podcast. I have a lot to learn and willing to do so. Thank you!
