Hi! When you are rehabbing and a contractor has availability to do work when you aren't available because you have to work what do you guys do? Leave a key? Pay someone to meet them/over see? I am working full time so efficiency is key. Thank you! Aleen

I use these on my MFH building and add the code for the contractor then delete when they're done. On SFH rentals we stole an idea/system from @Ethan Giller. He mounts one of these to the door frame or just outside the door to the brick. It serves two purposes; first, contractors can let themselves in and second, if the tenants lock themselves out, someone on his team can let them in, charge a lockout fee, and not have to find/bring keys or call a locksmith. Just don't give the tenant the code or the spare keys will be gone. Genius!!!

So, to answer your question, I routinely DO NOT meet contractors on-site once they're clear on scope and I trust them/have worked with them before.
