Fair Price? Rehab Bathroom and Single Room in LA

The house is located in Alhambra, CA. One of the suburbs of LA.

This is my first remodel and will be my personal house. So I just wanted a second opinion about pricing.

My father has a contractor who will do the following for 10k excluding materials.

  • Bathroom
    • Open a new entrance into the bathroom from the master room.
    • Close the old entrance from a different room
    • Remove and replace everything. Including new tile flooring
  • Master Room
    • Install ceiling light fixture
    • Refinish if possible the hardwood floor (There is some water damage)
    • Creating a sliding closet

Extra info about the room structure

The master room currently does not have a bathroom. If we knock down a wall in the walk in closet there is a restroom from a different room. We need to close it up from the other room and then expand the restroom with the extra space from the closet. The new sliding door closet will require knocking down a wall that separates the master with a different room. Between the two rooms that wall is actually storage cabinet.
