EXTREME pet damage

A few days ago there was a article in paper,,,said city condemned a house nearby where I live,,bout 2 blocks away.

Long story short a policeman knocked on the door to discuss a dog bite incident,,,whenthe door opened and the SMELL waffeted out,,,the rest is history.

They removed kids from parents, charged parents, and removed 21 dogs, one dead dog and nineteen OTHER animals of various kinds and styles. So after 40 animals decorated this house profusely,,,whats the chances of rehabbing it and getting the smell out???

Do cities ever condemn a house for such condition and allow someone to rehab it??Or is it a tear down ONLY?? The house is very charming 1 1/2 story with new siding and windows on outside.

I KNOW who owns this house and I am sure they are devasted by all this also!! I am thinking one could/should be able to buy QUITE reasonable IF there is a chance of saving it.

Anyone done anything similiar?? -d-
