Questioning Foundation On 2 Flat
Hi BP members. I have a 2 flat in Chicago under contract and I am questioning it's foundation. The price is great at $245,000 with comparables at $400,000. My main concern is how much it is going to cost to repair foundation and also the fact that I am not able to view the finished basement because it is an occupied bank foreclosure.
I still have time to back out of the deal. I have attached some photos of my concern areas (pics are sideways). Please provide any helpful information/estimates I've heard this can cost up to $80,000 sometimes. I am trying this here first before having to pay an inspector a large sum to only view outside walkway and not inside structure. Thank you in advance!
