Paint colors for Victorian home?

I'm rehabbing a Victorian and would like some input choosing interior colors.  It's got pine floors that I prefer to refinish with a light color but am open to suggestion there, too.  There are dark wood doors and trim inside.  

Interior colors?  For broad appeal, period correct (or close)?

The porch will be white with brown floors. 

Also, material suggestions for countertops?
