Can I work on property alongside 203K GC?

I recently had an offer accepted on a property that I will be using a 203K renovation loan on.  I can do a lot of my own work and would like to save money on labor by doing some stuff myself.  I am wondering if I can do some basic things like paint and refinishing hardwood floors while the other work is being done.  Does anybody have any experience with this type of situation?

Regards,

-Jerry
