Fire Sprinkler System

Hi All - I'm an investor embarking on a gut renovation/extension of a 2300 sq foot 2 family house to a 4100 sq ft 4 family house.  By virtue of increasing the units to 3 or more, I'm obligated to install a spinkler system in accordance with New York City code.

I am looking for advice on what type of sprinkler system to pursue in order to be in a position to meet code while not blowing out my budget.

Opinions on approach, systems are well appreciated.

The little experience I have with sprinkler systems, I've found that pricing tends to be tremendously consistent (at least it did on the two projects I've done with sprinklers).  I'd recommend contacting a few licensed sprinkler companies in your area, sending them your architectural drawings and having them give you a bid.  What I found was that most of the quotes were in the same ballpark, and there was little negotiating room.

You're likely looking at $5-10K if things in your area are similar to mine...

But again, I'm not an expert in this area, so it's possible your mileage my vary...
