There are several of ways using which you can brighten up the space inside your house without using too much of electricity and equipments. When the sun is out, the house is filled with all the natural light and it makes it very positive. But when the sun is down, you need to have all the right arrangements in the house so that it not only looks lighted in a right way, but it should also make it look bigger, positive, and merry. Here in this article, we are going to guide you with some of the tips that will help you to make your home look bright without blowing too much of electricity.

  • Loose The Shades

If you have too thick shades at the windows and doors, then take them off. The shades might be really good at the day time, but they tend to make the house look cramped and dull when the sun goes down. You could also opt for the retractable shades that could be folded and hidden inside the side walls so that the windows will have a more open look. This will bring more light into the room.

  • Get Rid Of Tinted Windows

If you have tinted glasses in your windows, then replace then with the clear ones. Tinted glass makes the home look real dark from inside and it robs the beauty of the decor. The idea is to make the home look as airy and full of light as possible. If you want to have the privacy, you could opt for itched or one way glass that will let all the light in while keeping the privacy maintained.

  • Using The Right Lights

The placement of the lights plays a vital role in the lighting setup inside the house. The corners must be well lit always and if you are going to strategically place the desk and the floor lamps, they will make the living area more inviting.

  • Increase the wattage

To make the light more bright, you can increase the wattage of the bulbs that you are suing. To get more light without spending too much on the electricity, it is always a good idea to go in for LED as it consumes very less energy and gives you a bright light.

  • Skylight

You can also decide to have skylight in the rooms to give them the right light. They are very easy to install and give you affordable and effective lighting.

  • Use different ways

It is not necessary that you have to use the traditional ways of lighting to light up the house. You can come up with new ideas to decorate the home in a way that it looks good and offers you a new style of lighting. There are several of options available in the market and you can choose the one that goes the best with your setup.
