Basement leakage...Now what?

Hi guys,

I recently put an offer on a great little house in a sought after neighbourhood.  During the inspection we noticed some water seepage in the basement.  Is this something I could tackle on my own? Anyone have experience with hiring a contractor to solve something similar?

Any help would be great!

Jamie
