Microwave Drawer after three months of use

FYI.  We've had our new kitchen for three months now.  We installed a MW drawer as part of the remodel.  I was a little leery about it beforehand, but I barely even notice it now.  It definitely has a huge advantage of being basically out of sight.  It is slightly annoying when you are reaching over it to grab something on the island, but a buyer will not think of that.

Bottomline- It is a definite plus and I would not hesitate to put one into even the highest end rehab.

The microwave drawer has been around for a few years. They are getting better each new model. There are a few brand names - Sharp, Dacor, Bosch, Thermador, Gaggeneau, Jen Air, & Wolf. They are all made by Sharp. Come in 1 or 1.2 cu ft, 950-1000 watts, 24" or 30" models, most come with control locks to prevent accidents. The one drawback they run $950 - $1700 in costs. But I think they really give an upscale look to a kitchen.
