Best Time To Sell

Hi BP Friends,

I wanted to hear what you guys thought about this topic. Feel free to add some personal stories if you can relate. My question is this, is there a "good" time to sell apts/houses?

In other words, do you find your properties stay on the market longer in colder weather (winter) and sell faster when it is warmer outside (summer)?

Happy Investing,

Tom B.

@Tom Bud

I think if you're talking about 5 boroughs the best time to bring a listing to market is always spring-summer.  There are so many more buyers in the market then.  This is the time a lot of families will start searching as they don't want to move children during a school year.   Additionally a lot of new developments come to market in the spring bringing more buyers to the table. The climate is better for open houses.

I've been at Open Houses in the spring with over 50 buyers a few times.
