Solutiuons for Basement with 6' Ceilings

I have a potential investment property for a rehab that has good potential in the main living area (cape cod)...but the basement ceiling is about 6'. The space is not realistically usable...anyone have any success at rehabbing similar properties? It seems like the cost to make it presentable outweighs any potential increase in ARV...
