New Jersey Rehabbers... Appliances

Rehabbers, where do you currently get your appliances for your rehab projects?

Are there any good places with good reasonable prices besides Home Depot or Lowe's?

I find AJ Madisons out of Brooklyn has better prices most of the time if you want new with excellent selection and also dimensions if you need to fit something in tight. If you want used go with Craigslist or Habitat for Humanity Restore are some options.

    Talha,

Try Applianceorama I believe they are in Plainfield or Linden. There is also a decent used appliance store in Manville, the name eludes me right now......

You also have Craigslist which I find to be a great resource for used appliances - I recently came across a like new stainless steel gas stove for 180 bucks.. I didn't have a use for it but at that price I couldn't pass it up so I bought it and have it on standby.

    good luck,

    Chris

During the holidays the big box stores have sales.  I've also been able to get some decent prices from Karls.  You can talk them down or make them beat a price.
