How to boost the curb appeal??!!!

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to boost the curb appeal of this house i recently purchased? Any advice would be great. I don't want to spend my whole budget on the exterior, but I do realize that curb appeal is a major selling point. I was toying witht the idea of building a small roof over the door but I feel it would take away from the tudor style. The neighbourhood is an old character area so I want to keep that feel. Thanks for any help!

IMHO I would start with the porch. Its pretty ugly. Doesn't line up w much and is out of character/ scale with the rest of the house. In addition I would make sure the walkway fully lines up w the new steps/ porch. You could also create a larger planter in the front yard by eliminating a lot of the grass (maintenance), edging the new space with pavers that match your trim and planting some low maint. low water use species that would add color to the place. The right shrubs would also allow u to control where peoples eyes navigate to on the facade of the house. Im a landscape designer and contractor so I have done this before.
