Hi Guys I'm located in the chicagoland area and I have been getting quotes on drywall installation for a 1100 sq ft home and the prices haven't been very consistent, I'm getting quotes from $12-20 dollars a sheet. that's hung and taped. don't wanna go with the cheap guy or the expensive guy who would only sub it out to the cheap guy just to make a few bucks. What would you say would be a fair price?

Just hung and taped. What about mudded and sanded a couple times to get it ready for paint?

In that area (a bit further north), I typically pay about $32-35 a sheet for everything -- materials, hanging, taping, mudding, sanding and ready for paint. Materials are likely about $12-14/sheet, so that's about $18-23/sheet for all labor to leave ready for paint.

For reference, that's for larger jobs and good contractors who are fully insured.
