Hey!

Super excited to get started with my first out-of-state rehab. What sort of things should I keep my eyes out for when managing a rehab that I can't see myself. What kind of strategies have you guys found to be most effective when making sure your house is getting properly cared for when you can't keep your own eyes on it?

Any advice helps!

Make sure you vet the contractor and have them take progress photos/videos. Interview a few. I would not pay a large chunk upfront, do it as the project progresses. When you are analyzing a deal make sure the contractor can provide a line by line item of a bid, not a guestimate.
