Solid Surface Counter Tops

Has anyone had any experience with solid surface counter tops?  I am looking to install new countertops and have the cabinets painted a medium gray color.  Not sure how I like granite with that color, but solid surface has tops that have a lot of white to contrast with the cabinets.  Would appreciate anyone's thoughts.

My wife and I almost always do solid surface counter tops. Most fabricators that work with stone also work with solid surface.

If you are asking about the color choice, well that is going to be a very nuanced question.  How a color looks in sunlight is different than how it looks in shade or with LED bulbs versus incandescent.  If you are not sure, there are likely some designers in your area that will come in for a couple hours to help you pick colors/finishes.  It may cost several hundred dollars, but that is cheaper than putting the wrong color on the cabinets or walls, or selecting a clashing counter.
