Foundation issue| should I walk away?

Serena Du
Posted

I have seen a house on a market for quite sometime. Price has dropped a few times. The listing stated about the foundation issue. I am not sure how serious it is and if it will be able to be fully fixed.

Below is the picture measure illustration. Seems that the interior foundation has issue and piers are needed. Should I walk away? How much is the cost to fix?

@Allan Smith is correct. Get a quote and subtract from price.

I would estimate $20-30k roughly. Just based on past history.

If we bought it we would consult an engineer and get a scope to fix from them and get my guys to fix. Bring back out engineer for a stamp on fixes. Done and done.

So to answer your question, don’t be scared about it. It can be fixed.
