Contractors- Just a thought

So I was thinking, does anyone know if there is a contractor that works with investors that would be willing to receive payments after the rehab is completed through escrow or in the case of buy and hold receive payments through the monthly rents? Other than the obvious down fall where the investor doesn’t pay the contractors invoice, is there something else I’m missing?

What benefit is that to them?  Most contractors work project to project and do not have the ability nor desire to float the cost of materials or labor
