I posted this in another thread Javaras but I thought you'd find it helpful:

Here's how I find contractors in any city:

1. I hang out at the Menard's/Home Depot parking lot early in the morning and hire the guys that show up early to buy materials for their jobs (I found my plumber, painter, electrician).

2. I drive around different neighborhoods and find contractors working on houses so I can see their work (I found my siding guy and carpenter).

3. I ask the guys I hired from these two methods to refer other contractors they like to work with (good contractors will only refer other good contractors).

Another pro tip...contractors like to get paid on time, and preferably as soon as their work is done. Set up a Zelle or Venmo account so when they finish the job you put the money straight into their bank (of course this is after you verify the work is complete). If you do this they will LOVE to work for you and will make you a priority.

Good luck!
