Replacing Floor Joist/ Moisture in Crawlspace

Brook Davenport
Posted

I came across a property that dropped out of contract this morning with highly motivated sellers. Inspections from the previous potential buyer came back, and there was moisture in the crawlspace and the floor joist need to be replaced. The asking price is $110k and the house is just under 700 sqft, but I am not sure what the estimate of replacing the floor joist would be. I would assume it would be close to $15-20k. I will consult a contractor on the repairs, but wanted to ask the forums first on any experience with similar situations! Thank you for any help!
