Does it matter what state where you open an LLC for a flip?

Quick questions to experienced flippers:

1. Does one have to register an LLC here in CA for a flip in San Diego, CA?

2. If yes, does one have to pay the 850 franchise taxes for a flip on a property that is held for less than a year?

3. For a house that is flipped under an LLC, what happens to the LLC after that flip? Is there a minimum amount of time required before dissolving that LLC?
