How and When do you pay property taxes in Winnebago Co

So I've never lived in the USA as an adult; I went abroad after college (lived in dorm and with my parents) so in buying a house in Rockford, I learned that I'm not up to speed on things like property taxes among other things.

I remember my realtor said property taxes are due in May. My sister is in Boone Co, so I asked her, but haven't heard back.

Is this the website you use:

http://www.winnebagotreasurer.com/

I checked it, since it does look legit, and all I typed in was my name, and it doesn't have 2016 taxes in there yet.

Do they not update this til May or whenever it is that they're due? Do they send a paper bill?
