Cook counting recording delay - heloc processing

Ryan Bird
Posted

I had a quitclaim deed that was recorded with cook county back in Jan. However, the changes are still not showing upon on the county website. I had requested a HELOC but the loan processing is getting delayed as they don't see the new owner from the title company's search yet. Their response was that cook county recordings are backed up so I'm trying to see if there are any alternatives for them to verify the new owners and process the loan quickly.
