New Porch without inspection

Hi All,

I am in contract to purchase a 6 unit (3 story) MFA investment property.  One issue I am facing now is that a new porch was built on the building in 2015 with a permit but after the construction was finished the seller never called the city back out to inspect the work.

They did get a permit to start the construction but never finished by getting the city to sign the permit.

I can ask the seller to get the city to come out but I am being advised against this because the city might call out other violations that would complicate the sale.
