Great Lakes Naval Station Area

Hi everyone,

I will be stationed at Great Lakes Naval Station starting in June.  Looking to purchase a multifamily property, live in one of the units and rent out the other ones, but not sure what towns to start my search for properties.  My ideal radius from the Naval Station would be 20 miles or less. Can anyone offer some opinions of the surrounding towns in terms of crime, schools, resale value, rent rates, and any other information you think would be valuable?
