Chicago south side rental market

Hi,

I'm trying to rent a two bed one bath apartment in the south side of Chicago (around 51st and Cottage Grove). I've been posting many ads on Craig's list for couple weeks and only received a few calls. This is too quiet. Does anyone experience the same thing? Do renters slow down moving already? Please share your experience.

Thanks,

Patrick

CL has been near-dead for me response-wise lately. Zillow/Trulia/Hotpads has gotten me a ton of responses in Little Village though - it might be worth it to try those. Use the zillow rental manager (free) and it syndicates to all 3. From hotpads at least you'll get a lot of emails with the persons email and phone number expressing interest, call them back ASAP. Also list a phone number in your ad in the text, a lot of people won't search around the site for it and won't email.
