What does an expo need to include?

I look at the Chicago real estate network and see that there isn't even a credible expo that comes here to help teach and network.

So my question is what should an expo provide?

I don't think anyone should pay for Real Estate education ever. Seeing the companies that charge for you to be in their network just makes me feel bad for the people that join and don't follow through.

I feel some areas that people could benefit from learning would be topics like these;

Building a Brand

Dealing with Contractors

Making the most of Materials

Labor costs in the local market

Acquisitions

Running comps

Using a proforma

Marketing your business

Designing your flip

Working with cities

Using credible Real Estate Agents

Real Estate Attorneys and how to utilize them

TurnKey Rentals

Title companies

Using social media

If this was taught from local industry leaders what would it be worth? My cost breakdown would be for things people would really use.

Venue

Refreshments

Hiring a speaker that is credible

Materials to help you grow. Books, Proformas, Referrals, Networking connections.

The people that would speak on these subjects would be the local industry leaders we all know! People that we can compare too and see how their success can help us grow ours.

Entry wont cost $599

Booths wont cost $1,000

People can actually use the info they receive and start applying it to your everyday business.

What would it be worth to you? Why don't we form our own expo and actually get an event here worth attending.

I want some feedback!
