Student Loans and Bank Accounts.

Greetings Everyone.

I want to move forward & clean up my credit, but am worried about my families money. Approx 6 months ago, i obtained a debit card from a family member. Just for grocery shopping when she cannot. They gave me a card with my name on it. I owe on student loans (about 10 years since my last contact with them) and am worried about putting her money at risk when i start the process of diving into my credit history. Should i take my name off the account till my credit is 'repaired' or am i being paranoid? Last thing i want is to jeopardize her money because of my loans.

Thank you all and have a great day!
