Hi all. I know a lot of us are looking for property management companies. I’ve recently terminated my relationship with GTL and specifically with its owner Todd Ortscheid. I believe he’s on here a fair amount marketing. My experience with them wasn’t a good one. Apparently they don’t believe in the notion of freedom of speech or understand that truth is an absolute defense to defamation and so they have sent this over in an email:

“CGR is also aware that you’ve published defamatory remarks in the landlord forum of BiggerPockets.com. Unless such comments are immediately retracted, CGR will also pursue a claim for defamation. You are also warned against any further baseless, defamatory remarks you may intend to promulgate to your tenants regarding CGR.“

Just thought this might be of interest to other fellow landlords.

Mr. Todd Ortscheid is a scammer, He's been managing my property for almost a decade, He only gives one year lease(In Purpose), this way at the end of the year he will charge you almost $6000 in repair before the next tenant move in, repairs that can only be done by Blue chips which is a fake company he creates, most of these repairs are unnecessary some he never even perform. He then charges the tenant who left the same amount, taking them to court then keep all the money for himself claiming expensive lawyer fees. Now to get you a new tenant he will charge you a full month for management fee, I was shocked to see how many people contacted me in Google after I posted a review exposing his scam. I am in talk with a big Atlanta law firm now to file a class action lawsuit against GTL Real Estate email GTLClassactionlawsuitatgmail for more details. He takes my house hostage now by placing a locked box even though he claimed he terminates my contract for money that I owe him while he is the one who owe me $2400 security deposit money that he collected from my tenant on my behalf. I reported him to the district Attorney office he's currently under investigation. Please everyone let's share that message every where, contact the sheriff office and the DA if you are victim of that BIG FAT Racist pig. Let's send him to Jail where he belongs.
