Looking for advice on selecting the right commercial lender

Hello Georgians,

I'm just moving to Atlanta and looking to begin investing in local real estate.  I'd like to find a reputable, local commercial lender to work with on an apartment building or small complex (~$1M).  So far, I've done a google search of local commercial lenders and written several e-mails but haven't gotten a good response (1 lender from Dallas contacted me).

I'm figuring the best reference for good people come from others engaged in the same practices.  Looking for your recommendations and personal advice on selecting the best financial partner for this endeavor.

Eric
