GOREIA or CFRI

Hi all,

I'm new to REI and live in the greater Orlando area. As I've begun digging around here on BP I've run across two groups consistently that seem to be good resources in central Florida...GOREIA and CFRI. I was wondering if anyone had any input as to which is better to begin getting involved in and who has had positive or negative experiences with either? I have a full time job so with my limited availability I want to make sure I'm getting involved in an organization that will be an effective and helpful use of my time.

Thanks so much in advance for any help or insight!

Hi Brandon Reed , hope all is well with you. I'm new in REI and a member of CFRI, so I can give you my perspective regarding the organization. I joined about 5 months ago and found it to be a great source of knowledge. They have sub groups that meet on a monthly basis that specialize in different areas of REI (i.e. Creative financing, commercial/multi-family, flipping/rehabbing, and more). CFRI also has county specific meetings where they concentrate on REI within those counties. As in anything you do, you just need to be mindful of who you take advice from. If you want more details PM me.
