Miami-Dade County Short Term Rentals (Airbnb/Vrbo) Laws

Hello BP team,

I am interested in connecting with current STR/Airbnb/Vrbo hosts and owners in Miami and the Miami-Dade County. I have done some digging around the old posts and historical discussions and it seems to me that the latest posts I could find were from about a year ago (Jan-Mar 2020).
The goal of this post is to make connections and spark some discussions on what are the hurdles you have to jump through and pitfalls to avoid if you are considering to acquire a property or two in the area. 

I have read that there are some draconian laws enforced by the city of Miami and Miami Beach in general. Yet, I am here right now staying at an airbnb condo and the business seems to be live and well. 

If there are successful owners or agents who operate in this industry, please jump into conversation or send me a DM, I would love to pick your brain on metrics, KPIs and other nuisances of the market.
