Are People Programmed to Sell Their Time?
I find it quite puzzling that most people insist on relying on selling their time as their sole livelihood and will go to great lengths to trade their time for money more efficiently. These same people never attempt to start a small business or add any value to society other than honing their skillsets for someone else.
Is this something that is innate or do you feel like our society promotes this in a manner greater than other cultures? What are the causes of this phenomenon? Do you feel that the initial conditions for where one starts are highly correlated with whether or not the person spends the bulk of their time working for someone else instead of risking capital in a business venture?
