I ran across this article today:

50 Reasons We're Living Through the Greatest Period in World History

and figured it was too good not to share with the BP community.

There is a lot of complaining that goes on daily about how things are harder today than they used to be.  This article will give you a great sense for how incremental quality of life improvements make today the best time in recorded human history to be alive.  Congratulations for being part of it.  Enjoy each day and stop complaining or worrying about those fortunate few who have it a bit better than you do.  You still are likely to be in the top 1% of the world's population for standard of living.

For real estate investors I would add that we're living through the best time in history to get started and acquire wealth.  Interest rates have been at ridiculously low prices for an extended period of time and the securities laws are more liberal now than they have been in almost 100 years.  Access to capital to grow your business has never been easier.

So stop whining and go out and make your fortune.  For those lurkers that are professional learners and novice doers get off your a$$ and go make it happen.
