"Wealthy Americans Are Giving Less Of Their Incomes To Charity, While Poor Are Donating More"

"Unlike their wealthier counterparts, low- and middle-income Americans — those who made less than $100,000 — gave 5% more in 2012 than in 2006, the Chronicle found. The poorest Americans — those who took home $25,000 or less — increased their giving by nearly 17%."

rich getting rich while poor getting poorer.

"The 35.4 Percent: 109,631,000 on Welfare"

109,631,000 Americans lived in households that received benefits from one or more federally funded "means-tested programs" — also known as welfare — as of the fourth quarter of 2012, according to data released Tuesday by the Census Bureau.

hmm that is from almost 3 years ago.. which makes me wonder what is the current 'welfare' rate these days... and why and to what end?!

It's not too surprising to me that human beings respond this way to 6 years of constant attacks by the current administration and 6 years of the promotion of class warfare and driving wedges into our society creating and reinforcing a us and them mentality.

Being made the scape goat, being made a target both socially and financially, all the while writing bigger and bigger checks to the government every year could actually extinguish some charitable desires.

This to me is just a natural end result and more evidence that the current administration continually lacks any ability to connect the dots and understand simple cause and effect.
