Thoughts on finding a coach/mentor

Usually a post like this or even remotely similar to this is posted by a newbie or someone that has a coaching program for sale.  I don’t consider myself a newbie however there’s always still something I can learn. :-) I don’t have a coaching program I’m selling either.

A little over a year ago, I started a thread about who was investing in their health.  It caught quite a bit of attraction. There were great suggestions, ideas etc.  There was even one exceptionally kind Bigger Pockets member that seemed to know a lot about health and physical activity that we even chatted on the phone afterwards and he gave me some good pointers.  I ordered gym equipment for my home. I started working out a little and my left shoulder started giving me problems and I basically quit.  I still ride bikes and I’ve severely limited my carbs and sugar after the suggestion of the Bigger Pockets member mentioning it.

So about two weeks ago, my wife found a health coach that I am going over to his house and he has his own gym and I am working out a few days a week.. so far so good. :-)

The health coach mentioned that he has a health coach for himself. I am bumping into more and more people that I consider fairly high achievers that seem to have someone coaching them to do better as well.
The challenge I found is that with real estate it seems to be much more complicated than giving people encouragement and cheering for exercising..

On more than one occasion I’ve talked with a person or two that was offering real estate coaching and I found out very quickly that either it was not what they were advertising or they was not far enough along to be coaching anyone except maybe a complete newbie or maybe it wasn’t the strategy for me.

Anyway, that’s my ramble for this morning. I still don’t have the answers for a real estate coach, but I’m moving forward in my health again. :-)
